videos

Here are some of my favorite videos. They cover a wide range of topics.

DISCLAIMER: These are videos I like to watch. I do not claim to endorse or agree with or even keep up with every personal opinion each of these video creators hold.

The links go to youtube, but I highly recommend looking into an alternate frontend like Invidious or Freetube. Why give google any more of your time or information?

  • LGR - LGR Thrifts is one of my favorite playlists to put on in the background while I clean or do laundry. It's great fun seeing what kind of dubious treasures await at Goodwill or wherever. I also love to put on LGR's builds playlist (makes me feel productive, especially when I'm also working on computer related projects), or LGR Foods while cooking. Clint's Christmas videos are fun for December (particularly 2020's WizardWorks video and 2018's Nutcracker hidden object game review). Also, out of all the videos in the world, the one I put on the absolute most while cleaning is LGR and PushingUpRoses in Detective Barbie in the Mystery of the Carnival Caper. I just put it on repeat and get to work. I don't know why this video in particular but I think I can probably recite the entire thing at this point.

  • Dankpods is, let's be honest, a really funny and entertaining consumer advocate and mid-2000s tech enthusiast while still pointing out the wasteful and exploitative business practices that produced that tech. Even in his earliest videos, he's always been looking out for the little man. Also, I love his cashies vids. zune worst ipod dock fast trax on fire Boot Windows 10 from an iPod Classic
  • the ergonomics videos from Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing I was obsessed with these videos as a kid, I watched them over and over.
  • louis rossmann
  • Final Fantasy 7 Is (Not) About the Environment I found myself relating intensely to Skyehoppers' personal quandary of wanting to change the world now while stuck in the everyday drudgery of environmental consulting. This is a great, calming video that wonderfully illustrates how ff7 can feel so personal for anybody who plays it.
  • Metal Gear Solid 4 Was a Mistake by Steak Bentley. I love this video. It's got such a cozy vibe to it. Frankly Metal Gear Solid 4 was a mistake and Steak gets into the meat (heh) of why that is in such a funny and compelling way. Also, this video made me actually appreciate MGS4, which is no mean feat. It has a really touching conclusion and is entertaining and creative throughout. It's long, but I never find myself itching to fast forward through parts of it, even when he goes off topic or off on tangents. It's nice to just sit back and enjoy the ride for this one.
  • Max0r's MGR:R incorrect summary So much of this video has permanently adhered itself to my vernacular
  • Was Dropping Nuclear Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki Justified? by Shaun
  • I really love Max Miller's Titanic videos. Eventually I will have an entire Titanic page on here, because it's (pardon the pun) a favorite deep dive of mine.
  • russian tea
  • Testing Russian Military MRE I adore this video lol
  • Gab Smolders' Shadow at the Water's Edge series. I love all of Gab's Nancy Drew playthroughs, but to see her take on Her Interactive's take on Japanese culture was interesting, as she's both an outsider to Japan and a scholar of Japanese language and culture. Another one of my favorites to put on in the background while cooking or cleaning.
  • Dallas High Five Interchange Tour Video's author says it best: Are You Ready To Experience First-hand What It's Like Driving The Biggest And Tallest Interchange On The Planet Presented With Extreme In-depth Information?
  • Matt Rose's videos are great. He also runs (ran?) a blog. This is one of my favorite writeups of his.
  • Gaga Media Archives for old gaga stuff
  • funnywes's Metal Gear Solid voiceover parodies are fantastic.
  • The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals
  • A Requiem for Ryan X Chad
  • This Metal Gear Solid V review by Keiv Reviews Things is my favorite MGSV related video: incredibly comprehensive, excellent thesis, great presentation. All of Keiv's MGS reviews are great and I highly recommend them.
  • Mario & Luigi vs Sephiroth
  • Dunkey ff7, ff7 remake, resident evil, mgsv, streaming
  • mgs2 video
